If you know us well by now, you’ll know that one of the business philosophies we live by is that of Kaizen – continuous improvement.
While not specifically linked to “growth” per se, hiring our first ever in-house technical expert (aka Paraplanner), Tom Dodd, to assist our financial planners is a testament to the evolution of Becketts and expertise we want to house within. Tom has relocated from Suffolk to join us, bringing with him not only his technical expertise, but also a big passion for cricket (preferring the purist, Test-match part of the cricketing sphere 🙏)
The last two months have also seen our commitment to learning continue unabated – with no less than four successful exam passes within the last two months, with Nick, Diana and Caroline all having exam success on their various pathways! Caroline’s pass resulted in her achieving a Level 3 Certificate in Regulated Financial Services Operations – well done Caroline!
While some of the team had their heads in the books, James Thompson had his feet on the pedals in Mallorca – competing in the Mallorca 312 in April as part of a Fylde-based race crew. A the name suggests, it was a 312km (194 mile) race around the island, spending a mere 12 hours in the saddle to complete! Although to many this sounds like agony – we think he felt that too at some point (surely!) – he does claim to also have enjoyed it. Congratulations James!
Finally, on 7th May, Becketts FS Ltd celebrated 20 years since incorporation. We had a small toast in the office and pressed on!
