Becketts started the year being successful in winning Corporate LiveWire’s Prestige award for “Financial Planning Company of the Year- Manchester & Northwest England!”
To achieve this award on the back of a year like 2020 is a great testament to our team’s commitment, technical excellence and passion to servicing our wonderful clients.
The start of 2021 has also seen Becketts shortlisted in three categories at the Professional Adviser Awards, “Adviser Firm of the Year – North West”, “Best Client Engagement” and “Paraplanner of the Year (Mark Brown)”.
As is the way these days, the awards will be held virtually on 11th March, a rare opportunity for combining a tuxedo with pyjama bottoms!
While renovations continue in a physical capacity at Beckett House, we have spent the opening months of the year focusing on our digital capabilities. As remote working appears here to stay in some capacity, we’ve boosted our “at home” security as well as our secure email systems. We believe standards like two-factor authentication and email encryption are going to become mainstays of the industry and our wider digital lives, so we’re very happy to be leading this move in further safeguarding our clients’ confidential data.
As this is our first newsletter since Christmas, we are happy to share the news that our Christmas party this year comprised of the now standard Zoom quiz! Thankfully, it was controversy free and no one took issue with the inconsistent scoring methodology or the quizmaster!
We do hope to bring you exciting team member news in the coming months, unfortunately we’re also all a bit stuck for extra-curricular news in this lockdown…we’re not due another team quiz until Christmas!
