Ben Evinson DipPFS
Independent Financial Planner
Having joined the team in October 2016, Ben began his career at Becketts in a trainee position, which involved him working alongside his colleagues to support both clients and advisers in a varied role. This enabled him to learn all about the different aspects of financial services.
Soon after joining Becketts, Ben began studying towards the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, which he swiftly managed to complete in less than a year.
These studies, combined with his wide-ranging role at Becketts, helped Ben to quickly build an excellent all round technical knowledge.
Upon completion of the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, Ben moved into a full time Paraplanning position, where he was able to put the knowledge and skills he had accumulated so far to further use. At this point he also began shadowing Dominic during client meetings, which helped him to gain from Dominic’s experience through learning some of the softer skills associated to financial planning.
Following a period of training and assessment, Ben was granted his CII Statement of Professional Standing in August 2018, allowing him to transition into his current role as a Financial Planner.
Progressing his way through the different roles at Becketts has given Ben a great appreciation and insight into the client journey and financial planning process as a whole, which has served him well and will continue to do so as he progresses throughout his career.
Ben is currently working towards achieving the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning, with the aim of gaining Chartered, and eventually Fellowship status, within the next couple of years.
During his spare time Ben can often be found indulging his passion for sports. Amongst the many sports Ben plays and follows, he is a keen golfer and lifelong Manchester United fan.
